Successful practice merger

After 48 years of serving the community, Dr Wimal Moonesinghe is hanging up his Hall Avenue stethoscope and handing over the reigns to neighbouring clinic Lifeline.

Dr Moonesinghe says he has been coming to Hall Avenue every day from Monday to Saturday since before there were computers.

'In those days I would see 70 patients from 9-6, no appointments all walk ins. My wife used to be the receptionist - it was a really happy life.

'I have to be thankful to my Polynesian brothers and sisters and cousins. They are my family and I love them.'

Alliance Health Plus CEO Wayne Williams thanks Dr Moonesinghe for his commitment to Pacific patients in the Ōtāhuhu community.

'We know that Lifeline have their heart in the community and your patients will be looked after. We wish you well in your new chapter of your story.'
