Congratulations to our 2019/2020 award-winning practices!

Despite our annual awards celebration being cancelled due to the uncertainty brought by COVID-19, our practices have continued to deliver quality care for their patients and communities with outstanding dedication in an uncertain, difficult and unpredictable environment.

Although we were unable to celebrate altogether at an awards event, our Clinical Director Dr Hinamaha Lutui and members of the Practice Network Team visited the award-winning practices one-by-one to deliver their certificates and prizes.

AH+ CEO Wayne Williams says the work done this this year, “perhaps more than any other,” still had to be acknowledged.

“All primary and community care front-line staff in our network and across the country are heroes in my view, risking their own lives for the greater good of securing the nation’s safety. Many testing centre staff worked for consecutive days across several weeks, spending long periods of time away from their families during what was an incredibly stressful and uncertain time. We know that many in the health sector are currently fatigued and ‘running on empty’, so we hope they get a chance to rest up over the Christmas holiday period.”

High Needs Population Categories

Criteria: Maori, Pacific or Quintile 5 with at least 10 eligible patients in categories of small (0-2000), medium (2001 – 5000) & large (5000 +) enrolled population that met target as at June 2020.

Total Population Categories Criteria: Having at least 10 eligible patients in categories of small (0 – 2000), medium (2001 – 5000) & large (5000+) enrolled population that met target and had an overall ranking of all four quarters as the top performer.
