Our History

Alliance Health Plus (AH+) Trust was established on 10th June 2010 as an amalgamation of 3 Pacific Primary Health Organisations (PHOs): TaPasefika PHO, AuckPac PHO and Tongan Health Society PHO (Langimalie). Primarily focused on supporting the growing health demands of the Pacific population, AH+ eventually grew to support other high needs population groups. In 2016 this expansion led to the formation of Alliance Communities Initiatives Trust (ACIT).

With the formation of ACIT, this further led to the Alliance Group being created. The group was set up to support the development of the two organisations (as well as prospective future organisations) to form a seamless continuum of services, from the social determinants of health to clinical interventions and health care. The member organisations within the Alliance Group all work toward the single group vision of ‘Strong Families, Strong Communities, Living Well Longer.’

With the beginning of 2017, AH+ saw a strategic change, with a focus on innovation, technology, data-driven care and targeted approach to Pacific and high-needs health interventions. We are currently in the process of implementing this strategic change and expect to see this change fully enforced over the next three years.

We believe that we have only just started on our mission, but are excited for what our young, but strong organisation can do to inspire health transformation.
