Our History

Alliance Health Plus (AH+) Trust was established on 10th June 2010 as an amalgamation of 3 Pacific Primary Health Organisations (PHOs):
TaPasefika PHO, AuckPac PHO and Tongan Health Society PHO (Langimalie). Primarily focused on supporting the growing health demands of the Pacific population, AH+ eventually grew to support other high needs population groups. In 2016 this expansion led to the formation of Alliance Communities Initiatives Trust (ACIT).
With the formation of ACIT, this further led to the Alliance Group being created. The group was set up to support the development of the two organisations (as well as prospective future organisations) to form a seamless continuum of services, from the social determinants of health to clinical interventions and health care. The member organisations within the Alliance Group all work toward the single group vision of ‘Strong Families, Strong Communities, Living Well Longer.’
Alliance Health Plus has launched a newly formulated, enduring Purpose and refreshed Strategic Goals for 2022 - 2025, symbolised by the journey of the Vaka and fortified by our strong commitment to the Pacific population of Tāmaki Makaurau.
